Card Night is a small, independently-run project. Here are the rules for using it.

Using Card Night

By signing in or joining a room — with a Google or Apple account, or as a guest from an invite link — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Card Night isn't directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 to use it.

Your account

You're responsible for whatever happens under your account, and for choosing a nickname that isn't impersonating someone else or otherwise abusive. Guest accounts created from an invite link work the same way — the nickname you pick is what everyone at the table sees.

Conduct

You're responsible for your nickname and how you use the app. Harassment, hate speech, spam, or anything illegal isn't allowed. We can remove content, and suspend or ban an account, for violating this — no advance notice required.

The games themselves

Spite & Malice, Spoons, and Trash are traditional card games in the public domain — Card Night just implements the rules and deals the cards. There's no real money, wagering, or in-app purchases involved anywhere in the app.

No warranty

Card Night is provided "as is," run on a single server with no uptime guarantee. We'll do our best to keep it running and your data intact, but we can't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available forever.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Card Night and whoever operates it aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including lost data, lost game history, or an interrupted game.

Changes

We may update these terms or the app itself over time. If a change is significant, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Card Night after a change means you accept the new terms.

Ending your account

You can stop using Card Night at any time. To have your account and everything tied to it deleted, see the Privacy Policy for how to reach us.
